About Us
Dave Ice founded Ice & Associates, Inc. in January, 2000, with the goal of merging the custom designed components manufactured by leading suppliers with the needs of the Original Equipment Manufacturer customers.
Ice has more than forty years experience with component manufacturers as a sales engineer, product manager and sales manager. Dave is well aware that both suppliers and consumers need detailed product definition, specific application and quality information and ongoing communication between the design and manufacturing personnel of the supplier and the engineering and supply management personnel of the customer. Ice & Associates, Inc. is dedicated to meeting these needs by working as the interface between the customer and the suppliers.
Dave became a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers in 1986.
He joined MANA—the Manufacturer's Agents National Association in 1993 as an associate (manufacturer) member. Upon founding Ice & Associates, Inc. in 2000, he became a full member and was one of the founding members of the Kansas City chapter in 2002. He was elected as District 6 Director in 2006. Currently he serves as Ex-Officio Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 4000 member association.
In January, 2009, Dave completed the requirements to earn the professional designation CPMR (Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative) from the Manufacturers Representatives Educational Research Foundation.
